We loved staying at Phil’s in an authentic Mayan town with best Amazing views of the lake. Room had high ceilings, adequate kitchen, tile floors and we loved reading and eating with panoramic long view of Lake Atitlan. Phil went out of his way to meet all our needs.

The place is much more beautiful than what you can appreciate in the pictures. Phil and Rocío make you feel right at home. The place has one of the best views around all Lake Atitlan. We hope to go back soon.

Phil was very welcoming, friendly and accessible. The rooms were very clean and just as described and seen in photos. I especially loved the towels: clean, crisp, thick, white. Phil asked what time we wanted to have breakfast and had it ready on time. The view from his place is AMAZING. I especially enjoyed having a fridge in our room: I was able to keep some cold drinks. The town is very small but beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

“We had an AMAZING week at Casa Colonial. We were spoiled from the moment we arrived. Phil made us delicious breakfast every morning from fresh organic ingredients that he bought at the local market. We tasted a variety of the local fruits that were in season, had local specialties, eggs prepared different ways each morning, he even baked the most delicious bread for us! The view is breathtaking, the property is private, very peaceful and quiet. Loved sitting on the patio sipping coffee, watching the little hummingbird get busy and enjoyed our morning discussions. Very hard to do something else than hanging out on the great patio. The house has everything you need. It is a perfect place to unwind and rest. This place is truly unique and a can’t miss if you are around Lake Atitlan. So peaceful, but you can be in the hustle and bustle of Pana before you know it. Go here. Stay here. Seriously. Everything is exactly as described and pictured. We highly recommend this place to anyone considering staying in the area.”
